Timing
The park has a regular campground with individual campsites. Some were still open for the weekend of the 20th when I called. We would need three, I believe. The ranger I spoke with indicated we could put two tents on a site. There is also a group campsite where we could all be together, more space and a pavilion. That was already booked for the weekend of the 20th but was open for the 27th. So, please let me know if the preference for the 20th is strong enough that we can/should skip the group campsite. I would, of course, try to get 3 sites together.

The 20th is best for us, but we are able to make it at either time. So, whatever works for everyone else. Sorry, not much help.
either one is fine for me but i cant speak for marci because i am likely to forget something i have already commited to. But either one should be fine and i dont think it is a big deal to get the group site as long as we have 3 sites next to each other.
my only concern is ben's brother is leaving on his mission july 2 so his farewell will probably be sometime right before then but i dont' know if that is either of the dates.
there are no more farewells, the church has said that several times so I guess that wont be a problem. Unless ben and mara want to go directly against the prophet's policy :)
